To meet the sometimes conflicting needs of storage, heavy
towing, driving in unfamiliar areas, and carrying a large dog, we have made
a number of modifications and enhancements to the Ford Super Club Wagon.
For organizational purposes, I will detail our
modifications in four sections: Interior, Power, Handling, and
Exterior. While many of the changes are personal preference, hopefully
there will be ideas that spark your interest and should be applicable to
other vehicles and even other types of vehicles.
In some cases, a modification, such as window tinting,
could be listed in two categories (i.e. interior or exterior). I have
selected the category that made the most sense to me (I choose interior
since it's purpose was to obscure from view the large amount of boxes,
chairs, etc. I carry in the rear of the van). If you don't find a
modification in the section you think if should belong, read on.
